Clear, large battery capacity
At Elk Camp we are often in areas without cell service and these radios allow us to communicate with each other. These are reliable, with clear sound and decent range. The battery lasts a long time on a single charge and can be charged via a power bank with a USB port. Love them very much!
The sound quality is great
The sound quality is great. The battery lasts approximately 15 hours. Almost any 2-pin microphone and headset will work with them. The NOAA-dedicated button on the side was a surprise, and there was an alarm/SOS button on the top as well.
These are great for hiking, camping, quad biking, and even multi-vehicle road trips through areas with poor signal coverage.
The programming software is fairly simple and should be easy for most people to use.
