What is DMR?
Digital mobile radio (DMR) is a limited open digital mobile radio standard defined in the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Standard TS 102 361 parts 1-4 and used in commercial products around the world.
Advantages of DMR:
The goal of the DMR standard is to create a low-complexity and low-cost digital radio system that allows equipment from different manufacturers to work together, allowing users to shop around rather than being locked into proprietary systems, which can avoid costly maintenance costs.
